"While at the Atlanta market one year, I visited with a wholesaler who specializes in children's clothing made only from natural coloured cotton, not dyed. He had browns and blues, greens and burgundy. Beautiful stuff! I read somewhere that a woman resurrected old Egyptian methods of growing coloured cotton" Does anyone know of this or where to get it either as spinning fibre or as cloth? I would love to find some gauze (closer to cheese cloth than sewing cloth) in natural colours. I have a small amount of dyed purple that works great with wool for felting.
