Ron,
Yes, I have used gall soap and still do. My brother-in-law sent me several cakes once and am still on those. It was once available in the US from Carbona as "stain soap" - I found the last cake at a Hancock's fabric store. A quick call to the number on my cake carton netted that they no longer distribute this product - it was made in Germany. This is an absolutely marvelous stain remover - does not affect colors - have used it successfully to remove ball point ink from plaid sport shirts, etc. Works especially well on natural fibers. I found one German company by typing Gall soap into a Yahoo Search - using "Gallenseife" for the search word would also work. If anyone finds a mail order for this product, get 2-4 cakes and you are pretty much set for life - a little goes a long way. I have long surmised that this use of "natural enzymes" is the basis for the use of enzymes in most laundry detergents.
