Hi Holly (waves at Ron & everyone else I know here):

I hope to make it to the MFF some time in the near future (that could be this year or the next 2-3 years) to see what it's like. I go to the BSG (Black Sheep Gathering) and the OFFF (OR Flock and Fiber Festival) though and always buy at least 1-5 fleeces of breeds I don't raise myself each year, except for last year.

I will be in MI in August this year though. I'm going to be visiting Laurie Ball-Gisch this year at Lavender Fleece & Lavender Farm when I go back for my 35th HS reunion (how did we age so much since HS anyway) in WI this year. I'm so excited to finally meet someone I've only emailed, talked to and bought sheep from in the past. I feel that Laurie and I've known each other forever at this point. I can hardly wait.

However, I entered two skeins at BSG via mail. I won 1st place (2-ply white alpaca) and 2nd place (2-ply moorit Icelandic) ribbons. It's always great to know I'm still doing well and that my customers are getting great yarn. Keeps me doing great work that way. I have quite a stash myself, Holly, as I'm sure many of you do whether fiber or yarn, but you see something you've never spun or a color you don't have and you buy it anyway. Oh well...life goes on.

Hugs,
Jet

We might make it to Michigan Fiber Festival this year--not nearly as big
as MD, but still pretty big :) No fleece auction, but that's probably
just as well--I just reorganized my fleece stash, and found I have more
than I thought <g>

Mindful spinning,
Jet
