You mention TV ads - have not seen them, but sometimes I wonder if
alpacas
haven't become this generation's "chinchilla breeding pair".

   Yes, Sara, I think there is a lot of this - and the people making 
money are buying very expensive breeding stock, showing the parents 
and the offspring and then hoping to sell at a very high price, etc., 
etc.  I feel that if the economy goes south, then so will the alpaca 
values.

   Ron, my pasture is in large part a nasty weed I was told was 
mustard and the hay is all stem.  I end throwing most of the bale out 
in the pasture and finding a small portion that actually is leaf. 
Even the deer wont eat what I throw out!!!!
