In my limited experience, green is hard to come by. Yellow is easy, lots of good yellow-producing plants out there. Good strong greens are usually produced by overdyeing yellow with indigo. Queen Anne's Lace will produce a sort of greeny yellow.

Lots of good natural dyeing books out there. Look on eBay, or in the library. Beware of older "classic" books...they often don't bother to tell you how poisonous some of the mordants are.

I am interested in trying my hand at natural dyes, just for fun. I would really like to start with a nice bright green color. What are your recommendations for plants or plant/mordant combo that would produce a bright leafy green color on wool? What about good books for learning how to dye wool?
