So, how did "Fibrefest North" go? The Northern Michigan Lamb & Wool
Festival was a HUGE success. I think the show has matured and has
gained a lot of customer and vendor loyalty, as well has having a great
group of volunteers.

My daughter won the super silly spinning challenge last year, so this
year she helped run the contest and started it off with a demonstration
of how it goes. In our version, it involves spinning normally for one
minute, then spinning a minute with rubber gloves on, then a minute
blindfolded--which, surprisingly, is not as hard as it sounds! Bethany
got 29 yards as the demo; the actual winner had 20.
And one of my felted hand-dyed, handspun bags got Best Use of Color in
the felted bag show :)
This week I'll be updating the website, and will let you know when you
can see pictures of this year's festival. I hope many of you can come
next year, it's a blast!
