Taking a brief break from my website (which is getting there, thank you all SO MUCH for helping me out!), I've done a little knitting on my first moebius. I got all the luxury fibers spun up before I started working on the website, did a gauge swatch late last month, and cast on 220 stitches, then picked up the additional 220.
I knit a couple rows plain, until the knitting got easier, then changed to a k/p pattern that took about 6 rows. Then I started doing some short rows to make the back longer and changed to the 'feather and fan' pattern in a multiple of 15 sts (and yes, you got it--wrong number of stitches, so I decreased to 435 :) After doing several short rows, I realized I had a mistake in the pattern, and of *course* it was in the section that wasn't being knit with the short rows <sigh> So I took it off the needle and, after trying it on (yes, it was the right size for once!) and checking the placement of the short row ends (too short, need to make that section longer, close to the whole 220 sts originally cast on), I ripped back to the last regular row before the k/p pattern while watching Pirates III last night (and I think I *got* it all for the first time--out of 3 watchings), and am now ready to resume knitting, this time with more short rows started much earlier and keeping the whole piece in feather and fan, which should be really pretty with all the natural colors. So, that's my latest handspun project. What are all of you working on? Holly where ice is falling from the sky and wondering how long before the power goes out
