I grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where it was known as a
"chook." (Rhymes with "look.")

I've never heard the term anywhere else, except once, when used by a
fellow Yooper in Atlanta. No one else there knew what she was talking
about!

Anyone else heard that term?

Jean
