While some may prefer "diversity" in a herd of sheep, I look for a shepherd/breeder who keeps a consistent flock for the simple reason that I may wish to recreate some yarn and would like to depend on the wool quality from that herd to remain similar year to year. "Diversity" may by choice, or in some cases, simply less than rigorous culling.
