Cyndy and I are having fun trying to spin on this double flyer. She is much better at it than I. There is a short video on my blog and a longer one on youtube.
What we can't figure out is how to wet the flax when both hands are madly scrambling to spin. We tried a little pot of water set on the table between the two orifices and it seemed to be too far to move our hands to get to it. Then Cyndy tried a little wet bag hung from the front of the horizontal arm of the distaff and that also seemed awkward. Cyndy grew this flax herself.
