you're *always* encouraged to file enhancement requests, but it's worth noting 
that there are reasons (some of which are fairly esoteric) that the raw volume 
UUID list tracked by each destination isn't something that is appropriate for 
most non-TM software to use. there may be better solutions that can be exposed 
for a particular set of needs, so if you do file a bug make sure you include a 
detailed use case so the Time Machine team can think about the request in the 
right way.
