Copy of the insurance agreement is with the Corporate Secretary. The
policy as we've agreed from beginning will be given to us the moment we
have paid our first 10,000 members, that is, once we paid the amount of
AED150,000.  Like what the Ambassador said and he once again reiterated
this to the Board, the moment a member signs and paid the membership, he
/ she should be automatically covered by the accidental insurance. That
means, that FILEX should pay in advance, the AED150,000 equivalent to
the membership of 10,000 pinoy expats. This has been the very essence of
this Foundation from beginning which aims to immediately protect/cover
us (the first 10,000) once we sign in and paid the membership form. Its
now up to the Executive officers to implement this.

Meantime, to clarify once and for all some questions, we will have a
meeting with the insurance group this Tuesday (hopefully everyone is
available) to enlighten us further about our group insurance and also to
inform them that we are starting (paying too) the insurance coverage by
October 1, 2008. 

When this happens, we should all work together to cover as many members
as we could in order to recover the 150,000 amount that we've
advanced/paid the company. A challenge that is at stake for our
endurance, deligence and perseverance as officers. 

In addition to the above, per instructions from the insurance company,
we would be submitting a monthly list of members, new members for that
matter that would be the basis for the insurance coverage since ours is
a group insurance and could be that one mother insurance policy would be
given. This would of course be clarified again by the insurance company
when we meet them.

need to know where is the policy? can we get a copy? a lot of questions
asked but the most is "Where is the insurance Policy" to be read by
members and members to be.
 
it is very hard to explain to those kabayans who understand about
insurances, without any copy of the policy, for membership it is no
problem because we have the copy of the certificate thaat we are legally
registerd to SEC. and we have the copy of constitution- and- by laws.

*       Is it blanket type order? meaning we pay 150,000 dhs. for 10,000
members commencing the date as specified in the contract regardless of

10,000 persons (we can say that once a person can sign the membership
form he/she automatically insured or we need to complete the 10,000
members with the enclosed payment of 150,000 dhs. on or before the
commencing date.  
*       How about the ID's are they providing us?To show the proof that
you insured by them if not, who will provide?
*       What is the minimum requirement of insurance company from a
member for future legal procedures? (only passport copy with residence
and picture?)

kindly arrange a meeting with the insurance company on Tuesday anytime
after 7pm. We need to clarify many things with them so that we can get a
clear picture of the coverage and have  ready answers to FAQs.

I have only few comments that I have heard from our listeners/ audience
during the filcom meeting with Dante, with Madam Fe were;

1. Could we insure the elders from 65 years old and above? ( Please see
if my response was correct, Sabi, ko ang insurance company po ay mag
iinsure lang ng merong residence visa, so kung wala po silang residence
visa, hindi po puwede ma enroll sa insurance, pero puwede sa FILEX and
will enjoy the filex assistance in dire need po). Because as for my
knowledge in UAE law and regulations, they do not renew the work permit
when you reach the age of 60 years( please correct me if I am wrong with
the age limit).  But the tricky question is what if they have residence
visa under their children's sponsorship, would they be able to sign up
for insurance?  He didn't ask me this question, but  I am thinking we
should have a ready response to this kind of question if asked in the
future. 

2. One person commented/ said; this"  MURA NA ITO FOR 45 DHS, LIFETIME
NA MEMBERSHIP WITH LIFETIME INSURANCE COVERAGE PA" 
     What I meant is some people or listeners really do not grasp what a
speaker says. And of course some of them they don't ask na this kind of
question for clarification, so I thought it will help if we could
include na things like this in FAQ. What do you think Rene? 

3. Can members who are already in the Philippines seek assistance from
FILEX? 

4. What is the age requirement to be a member of FILEX? by the way, do
we have any age limit too? ( this is my personal question)

5. Is Filex recognized in the UAE government? 

6. Who can people call if they want to join Filex, any web site? 

7. How can we call FILEX or let you know if are in dire need or need
assistance from FILEX?

Hi All,

As we are on the third week since the start of membership registration
campaign, I believed that you must have encountered different questions
from our kababayan. May I suggest everyone to please e mail me those
questions as we are in the process of collating frequently asked
questions and answer them thru different means - flyer or as part in the
presentation.
Advantages would be:
1. Avoid repeating same previously asked questions.
2. Avoid delay in the registration process.
3. Provide same answer to same frequently asked questions 4. Give full
understanding about the foundation.
5.Encourages everyone to become a member.

Please forward the FAQ before Wednesday so that this can be presented in
the next scheduled meeting.

By the way, this Friday meeting is not a joint meeting anymore. As per
my conversation with Mr Chairman, the Board meeting will start at 4pm
and followed by the executive meeting at 5pm sharp.Therefore executive
officers need not to come at 4pm unless you want to witness the oath
taking of the new appointed officers during the last part of the Board
meeting. New appointed officers please come at 4:30pm on your barong
tagalog.

Please be reminded that this first executive meeting must start and end
on time considering that this day will also be the "birthday for a
cause" by our dear Madam Fe at the same venue that will start at 8pm.

Again please forward any issues you want to discuss or that need
decision for includion in the agenda.
