Dear all,

A ship's engine failed. The ship's owner tried one expert after another,

but none of them could figure out the problem.

Then the owner hired an old man who had been fixing ships since he was
young.

The old man inspected the engine top to bottom.
After looking things over, the old man reached into his tool bag and
pulled out a small hammer.

He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine went life again.

A week later, the owner received a bill from the old man for ten
thousand dollars .
"What?!" the owner exclaimed. " The old man hardly did
anything!"
                                                So the owner wrote to
the old man a note saying, "Please send me an itemized bill."
The old man sent a bill that reads:
Tapping with a hammer...... ......... ...... .......... .$ 2
Knowing where to tap.... .......................... $ 9,998
Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes the
difference!
