Thanks Von for the update.  

I may have arguments on some reasons (suggested by others) for the downward
trend of passing scores especially on outside physical factors like the
bombings (2004) and the natural disaster(??) this year.  This may not be
acceptable in scientific research besides incidents in Metro Manila may not
affect the rest of the testing centres in the country.  We may be able to infer
correlation if we consider passing scores per testing centre but still it may
not hold ground.

However, I agree with you about a possible correlation between the readiness of
the non-BLIS/MLIS graduates.  This is worth looking at.
