Can anyone provide me with information if linkages is indeed part of the
criteria for the accreditation of the standards mentioned above? If so, is it
an overall institutional criterion, thus not specified in the specific criteria
for libraries?

My initial and limited findings:

1. PAARL 2000 = no mention of it

2. The newly BFL-approved Standards for Academic Libraries specified it.

3. PAASCU = not mentioned in the library instrument

4. As for AACCUP, (excerpt) "for Level III. The program is then evaluated and
must excel in four (4) areas, namely: 1) instruction and 2) extension, which
are mandatory; and two (2) more areas to be chosen from among research,
performance in licensure examination, faculty development, and linkages".
However the general criteria specified only the following:
1. Mission, goals and objectives
2. Faculty
3. Curriculum and Instruction
4. Students
5. Research
6. Extension and Community Involvement
7. Library
8. Physical Facilities
9. Laboratories
10. Administration

5. I was not able to get specific information on PACUCOA.

Any information will be greatly appreciated as this is important for my analysis
of my PhD thesis. So far, I am giving the AACCUP, BFL & PAASCU standards unfair
advantage in my discussion since either I got copies of the instruments or most
relevant information is available online.

Cheers, Nora
