PAARL, in cooperation with the Academic Booksellers Association of the
Philippines (ABAP), sponsored a lecture-forum on “Raising the Librarians’
Teaching Identity through Lifelong Learning Modules and Portfolios” at the
Seminar Room of Megatrade Hall, SM Megamall, in Ortigas Center, Pasig City
last July 7.

The event was part of the weeklong Philippine Academic Book Fair, which runs
July 6-10 this year. The lecture-forum seeks to campaign for information
literacy programs for all ages. It specifically aims to raise awareness of
the importance of the librarians’ teaching identity through lifelong
learning modules and portfolios.
