Yes I would, because Finale can export TIFF and it seems that Sibelius 2 can't - and also, Sibelius seems to only be able to import TIFF and not EPS files. (These are observations from the demo). Also I'm much more experienced in Finale than Sibelius, so would be more likely to do a better job. There is a pretty impressive-looking multi-coloured demo score that you might find interesting to look at. OK, well, I thought I made it pretty clear in my original posting that these comments were made in response to a day's testing the new version. I mean, how in-depth could my comments be after a day's testing? Maybe I should have made this ultra-clear (in capitals, perhaps ;-) I have had experience in using previous versions of Sibelius, though not too much, as I have preferred to stick with Finale. Again, my preference. When I thought that it may be my own inadequacy that caused the problem, I pointed it out. I'd love to find my more of my inadequacies, and so as for my negative comments being "pretty far off base", perhaps you could go through and refute them (e.g. the importing/exporting graphics scenario)? That would be interesting to all concerned (and I'm not being sarcastic). Finally, I tried to point out some of the great new features of Sibelius 2 as well. It was never intended to be all bad - I was referring to specific points rasied in Tobias' review. And negative points about Sibelius do not in any way imply that Finale is perfect, either! > > Generally, I prefer to work in Sibelius because it is far more intuitive, > and requires less tweaking to make things look good; but Finale's drawing > capabilities are terrific. I would agree in general with this, although personally I would say that Sibelius is considerably more intuitive at the early stages, less so as you go along and want to do 'harder' stuff (which may be graphically based, as you point out).
