Spring-loaded folders will be supported in the next upgrade to OS X. Incidentally, for me the best ways to keep organized in OS X are: 1) Put a *lot* of shortcuts in the Finder window title bars -- I have shortcuts to all my most frequently used folders, and also Stuffit Expander and the trash. This allows me to, for instance, quickly drag a downloaded application or utility to the appropriate folder without leaving my Downloads folder. 2) Keep two Finder windows open simultaneously, and use column view. This allows me to quickly drill down to files nested deep in the hierarchy, without losing track of where I am in the hierarchy, and of course files are easily moved by dragging between the two windows. Plus it there is an automatic "get info" for the currently selected item, which I find extremely useful. Of course, this is only for times when the files need to be moved to folders which do not have short cuts already in the title bar. (BTW, hold down "option" while dragging a column thumb to adjust the width of only that column, instead of all columns.) 3) Use the dock for currently running applications only, like the Application Switcher tear-off in OS 9. My launcher is the same as it was in OS 9, Drag Thing <http://www.dragthing.com>. I keep the dock at the bottom and Drag Thing along the left side of the screen. - Darcy ---- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Boston, MA _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
