Dear Crystal, What you need to do is find an application that has a Normalize function in it. Then what you do is put the soft output file through it, normalizing it, and then it will be at maximum volume. If you're using OS X, you can get Spark ME for free from http://www.tcworks.de. This has a normalize function in it. If you're not using OS X, then free possibilities are: Protools Free http://www.digidesign.com - which is like using a bulldozer to pull some weeds out of your garden, but it will work; Audacity http://audacity.sourceforge.net/latest/audacity-mac.php/ free again, but apparently a bit unstable (try it and see, it may work for you); Mastering Tools http://www.airwindows.com/dithering/index.html looks complicated, but will do the job if you can find the correct setting; and SonicWorx Artist Basic http://www.prosonic.com which _should_ have a normalize function. This is the pick of the bunch I would say for what you want to do. Good luck, Matthew -- Matthew Hindson - Australian composer [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.hindson.com || N.B.
