I don't really care about your email formatting as long as it is not html
and as long as one can see who wrote what (which I can fine in your mails).
However, the point that Philip is making is perhaps the same that Jari was
making earlier: You claim you have a lot of knowledge and are careful with
details, yet you make it quite obvious that you are not really concerned
much with real engraving detail. Professional music engraving is not about
getting the notes right (well, you should get the notes right, too).

You made it quite clear that you see nothing wrong with Igor's output.
Again, I haven't looked at Igor for a while (because it is simply not worth
it), but when I did last try it, Igor's output was simply not usable from an
engraver's point of view. It may be good enough for a musician, who needs
some music printed, but you seem to be looking for serious work, and in that
case you have to offer the best _from an engraver's point of view_.

Now, I'd just like to warn you further: I have seen part's prepared with
professional software like Finale or even Sibelius, that looked plain
terrible, because the person who prepared them had absolutely no idea what
he was doing. They got the notes right, but from an engraver's point of view
it simply looked terrible. In this respect I must admit that Sibelius does
better for people who don't know what they are doing. But I strongly believe
that to become a good engraver you need several years of experience, a lot
of stamina learning the intricacies of the software, and a really keen eye.

Perhaps not everyone has spent as much time as myself on working out what
slur settings work best, how to get the piano brace to look like that of
publisher X, or where exactly a staccato dot needs to be placed. Neither a
musical mind nor the best knowledge of Finale will help you with this.
