This link contains information on a new product for Finale, which supposedly adds support for the MusicXML format, to make importing music files from programs which support the MusicXML format. It even claims to provide the mechanism for earlier versions of Finale read files from later versions which have been saved in MusicXML format. The company even has a music-scanning program which is supposedly more accurate than MidiScan.
