Thanks to David for mentioning our product on this list. To answer some
of the questions that have come up on today's digest:

Yes, SharpEye Music Reader is from visiv, not Recordare, but we sell it
at the Recordare Online Store. If you purchase it together with our
Dolet plug-in, there's a discount over purchasing the two products
separately.

If you have examples of poorly recognized lyric files that you could
share, could you please send a sample image file on to us in a zip file?
Any music scanning program will work better if the music is not really
densely packed on the page, and this goes for lyrics too. But we'd still
like to see examples, especially if your getting this type of
distribution problems without tight spacing in the lyrics.

The export/re-import feature from newer versions of Finale to older ones
works a lot better than MIDI files - it's a lot more than just the notes
- but there is some formatting that will get lost. It will work best if
you have a Finale default file that matches what you are importing. It's
still not the same as being able to open the new file directly in the
old version, but it's getting better with each update.
