I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing. You mean that it's designed so that when you draw an engraver slur and nudge one handle the entire slur will jump to the position it would have drawn with engraver slurs turned off (ie, with the curve drawing through other notes, etc.)? When this was discussed earlier, I was told that was a bug which was fixed with the patch. >Also, I do think the new Fin2003 stretch first option will solve >some of the situations you're talking about. Yes, probably. It's true that things will get better if Finale draws the slur "perfectly" every time, as Johannes says, though I don't think there's such a thing as perfect for every situation. Yes, that's what the settings for, but I want to be able to play with the settings on a slur-by-slur basis. By the way, I don't mean to be making such a big deal about this. I only mentioned it because the topic arose. I'm reasonably happy with slurs the way they are, and changing it is not at all a high priority for me. In terms of saving time, I can think of a dozen things that would make a much bigger difference (including upgrading to a faster computer...). Off the top of my head, I'd guess that the feature that would go the furthest in terms of saving me real time would be if expression metatools could be designed to include H and V position, staff list, and other information from the expression assignment box. mdl _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
