I sent the paragraph about John Cage's publishers to a lawyer friend of
mine. I mentioned that I hadn't read the linked article and suspected
that it was a put-on. His reply:

<< It's not a copyright issue because Cage didn't create the work
whether or not his name was put on it. From the "composer's" side it's a
satire. The only thing Cage's interests could assert that I could think
of would be defamation, which isn't plausible under these facts. So it's
a put-on. >>

Not that any of you doubted it, of course.
