It  WAS released, then recalled. I think it may have been Willie 
Maiden's arrangement, and one of my students claims his dad has it, 
and that it sounds like most of the other arrangements written for 
Maynard's Birdland orchestra, in a medium-up swing. I think the 
"light" treatment, along with Maynard's pyrotechnics, is what the 
Kern estate objected to. They probably wanted it to stay a stately, 
moving ballad. Purely conjecture on my part, based on other things I 
have read about the management of Kern's estate.
