That's not really the point. The point is if it had been carbonized earlier,
the carbonized version would still run perfectly on OS 9 (and even Os 8.6).
Since OS X has been out for quite a while now there would have been plenty
of time to do the MIDI drivers as soon as X was available (I don't think
there are any other drivers Finale needs?).

Well, that is of course true, all Philip said was that it is not quite
comprehensible that they made a decision to wait.
