I recognize the utility of Finale providing this *capability* as it reflects a real musical need. What I object to is that it is the default for a copy, that it cannot be turned off, and that once it's been done it is not fully reversible. Those are all indications of an ill-thought-out UI and bugs in the implementation. A user interface that allows changes to be made to underlying data but does not allow those changes to be reversed is a UI that is broken. -- David W.
