I prefer using multiple verses with the same baseline (say -144 for all 10 verses). The reason is that if you have to edit or change things or even screw something up, the damage is limited to that verse and you can easily clear a section and re-click enter the syllables. This method has taken me through 3 operas and a few vocal pieces. I don't generally need verses to be on top of each other.
