I asked about clearing manual spacing, not note position 
specifically, or beat charts specifically. Both of those are manual 
spacing of notes, and that was the original question.

Your reponse was the non sequitur, not mine. The topic was clearing 
manual note positioning, and you reply to my observation that it 
takes two steps by saying that it is often useful for it to be two 
logically separate steps. Nothing *I* said implies that I would think 
otherwise.

Yet, your answer didn't really answer my question, either.

I asked how to clear manual spacing. There are at least two different 
methods for that (other than simply dragging the notes in Speedy), 
and what is clear from the responses is that there is no command in 
Finale for blocking an area of music and with one command clearing 
any manual spacing.

I have the answer to my question now.

And it looks like the basis for a feature request.
