Hola,
I have used this approach to overcome of the polyphony of Finale: 12 notes
per layer. For a particular project I needed more notes so I had to
superimpose two staves.

BTW the problems with layer notes overlapping appears even with only 1 staff
and two layers. You have to correct it by hand, as far as I know.
