If you're talking about Speedy entry on the qwerty keyboard, this is one of
using the letter keys instead of the arrow keys to set vertical position.
I frequently use this for Speedy-entering notes which will be
cross-staffed.  When I first enter them, there are lots of ledger lines,
but it's not a problem. Since I'm using the letter keys to place the notes,
I don't even need to look at the notes in the "wrong" staff, except to
cross-staff them down afterward.
