Just a thought to share with people here, no ax to grind:  Isn't it a shame
that a professional engraver's knowledge is so often left untapped?

It's possible that there is some good reason to be using the bass clef that
you're unaware of. But I think it's far more likely that it's just a bad
choice and whoever made it didn't know better. In that case, whoever has
hired you to do the copying has missed an opportunity to have a superior
final product, by not inviting you to use your better judgment in such
cases.
