Again, that's all fine and good but if you add new chords after invoking your plugin, they will play back unless you invoke the plugin again.

Did you actually use the plugin? It turns off or changes the output instrument for any given layer--including Expressions and Chords. It defaults to turning OFF the Chord Layer.

It's NOT the same thing as turning off Chord playback by changing the playback characteristics of chords.


Coda really needs to implement "DON'T PLAY BACK CHORDS, EVER" (which every right-thinking person would leave checked all the time) as a global option.
That's why I wrote the plugin. Given the current PDK it's the closest thing possible to having them off by default. Select a region, apply the plugin. That's it.
