Keep in mind - maybe just a reminder -: theoretically a measure filled with slashes means: go on with the established groove; keep on timing so to speak; If you are in need of a special chordal rhythm, you should use the well known alternate noteheads for the wanted rhythm (diamond etc.).
We have a staff style for that too, called "Rhymthmic Notation", metatool "R" when in the staff tool.
