Absolutely true.  And completely inclusive of any and all concert music in
any and all styles, if you will accept the definition that "concert" music
is music that is NOT improvised by musically illiterate singers or players.

You seem to have a low opinion of improvised music and its performers. I disagree. Indian, Balinese, African, and jazz musicians all create excellent improvised music for concert audiences without the benefit (?) of notation, whether or not they are able to actually read notation.

Care to modify your definition?
