[Finale] Buying a new computer soon...

I will be buying a new computer soon, so I seek your advice. I have seen some of your remarks about OSX, and followed various past threads about the pros and cons about PC's vs. MAC.

I've been working on a MAC G4 at the studio, and am going to purchase a system for my own so I can spend less time away from home. I have planned to buy a newer, zippier MAC, but I'd like to ask a few last questions before I make the move.

Is it just Quark that doesn't like OSX? I came in on the middle of that discussion.

Although I've been working on the MAC for a couple of years, I still feel much more at home in the PC environment. If I bought a fast enough PC, with a gigabyte of RAM, would I run into the freezing problems that some PC users experience?

If I go with the MAC, would it be advisble to look for one that will boot OS9?
