Ever since WinFin2003 I have something similar. I think it has to do with the soprano clef being the deafult clef. When I enter music in tenor clef or bass clef and I enter the edit frame in Speedy Entry, the first note is always in soprano clef, that is: one or two octaves too high when using tenor or bass clef. The following notes are all right. But after leaving edit frame and reentering, the same happens again with the first note I enter. Knowing this doesn't help, but at least you're not alone.
