I do hope that both of you with these problems have reported them to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- they need to know about all those sorts of problems so they can place them higher up their priority list of bugs to fix in the interim releases. Makemusic (the codamusic site still works but they are trying to get people to think of them as makemusic on the web) don't maintain any official presence on this list and so any complaints made here remain just that -- we all know about them but we can't fix them.

I can enter a few notes of a melody OK, then suddently it will enter a note

Ever since WinFin2003 I have something similar. I think it has to do with
the soprano clef being the deafult clef. When I enter music in tenor clef or
bass clef and I enter the edit frame in Speedy Entry, the first note is
always in soprano clef, that is: one or two octaves too high when using
tenor or bass clef. The following notes are all right. But after leaving
edit frame and reentering, the same happens again with the first note I
enter.

Knowing this doesn't help, but at least you're not alone.
