Thanks for the suggestions. I have successfully replaced the Petrucci
staccato marks with Maestro. But the core problem, i.e., improper centering
and distance from the noteheads, remains. Probably because I've
hand-positioned them in the past. So I'm looking for a way to "default
place" all of the marks, wiping out those manual positionings. I did
attempt to mass-configure them (through Mass Mover's Change Menu) according
to the parameters in the Articulation Library of the Appendix, but I'm not
able to get a satisfactory result. For instance, the Articulations library
in the Appendix sets the default vertical position of the staccato marks at
"16," which I tried with crazy results. Help appreciated.

The suggestions sent to Benjamin were apparently off-list. Changing fonts is no big deal to me, but it I could find a way to "mass-change" articulations to their default positions I would greatly appreciate it... please reply to this query on-list if you can.

What's wrong with Mass Mover>Change>Articulation Assigments then click on Change All Articulations, and Add To Default Positioning but leave the values as zero?

I often get files where I have to change articulations, so for that I load MY articulation library that I have saved from another file, then go to the Articulation dialogue box, select the original articulations one at a time and hit Delete. When I am asked what I want to replace it with, i choose one of my freshly loaded articulations at the bottom of the list, which comes with its own defualt placment that I like, and then go on to the next articulation.
