When only one particular articulation needs fixing, another way to do this
is simply to add the *same* articulation (EX: staccatto) to the existing
pallette in a new location. Use Duplicate, then use Edit to set the
respective values and behaviors of the new position however you want. Then
use the Change Articulation process to replace the old articulation with the
new one of the same kind. Even though it's the identical articulation, to
Finale it's a new one, same as if it were a different articulation
altogether, and when the new version replces the old the new ones obey all
the values set for it.

Be sure and click Position Selected Articulation (enter the pallete position
of the articulation that's in the score at present), click Change All
Articulations... and enter the pallette position of the NEW articulation you
just created.
