I'm on FinMac 2002, and my experience is similar to yours, though I'd say mine is more like 2% or 3% rather than 5%. Some of them are totally wacked out, in a way that suggests it isn't simply bad calculation over an accidental or whatnot. Others are just mildly crooked. Behavior is not consistent: I've frequently had slurs of this sort which misbehave on the printer but are fine on the screen, and others which appear differently at different magnifications. When I was exchanging files with a colleague (on FinWin 2002b), about 10% of the slurs which misbehaved on my system also misbehaved on his; he also had a couple which were bad on his but fine on mine, though those were pretty rare. It seems like the problem is more frequent when I've got other things running on the computer, suggesting that maybe it has something to do with memory shortage. Also, I'm on a very old system, which could explain why so many other Finale users never see the problem at all. When I first read Dorothy's message, I assumed she was talking about this problem, but after reading the follow-ups I gather she was talking about something entirely different. My solution to the problem is the same as yours: simply turn off engraver for the individual slur. I'm the sort of user who manually adjusts a lot of slurs anyway. mdl _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
