Dear David,

Birds aside, ;-), you may also benefit in investing in a good set of
enclosed headphones.  This will enable you to hear editing points better, or
rather, be able to edit better so you _won't_ hear any editing points.
Certainly better than computer speakers.

I've bought Sennheiser headphones, and they seem to be very good in general.
