Unless, of course, a regional theatre company or summer stock group decides that they don't want to use every bar of dance music that was used in the original production. As I mentioned in my earlier post, it was often expected that dance music existed simply as accompaniment to whatever the choreographer wanted to do. Unless you're reproducing the original choreography in a revival, there's no particular reason that you should use all of the original dance music.

These CDs are interesting from a historical point of view, but not necessarily from a practical one.
