I could not make the save-as-eps-convert-to-pdf-print-with-Acrobat-Reader thing work, so I tried one more time to just print from Finale. This time I got a message saying that the serial port was already in use. Serial port? I have none. I had a faint memory of seeing somewhere that Chooser allowed me to choose a printer driver, so I opened it. My printer did not appear there, although I swear I was in Classic Environment when I installed it. I went through the process again, and lo, I can now print directly from Finale. Some kind of new process occurs, with new little screens that open and ask for settings, but it works just fine.
Whew!
