I have determined that I probably have enough source material to produce digital versions of two historic music typefaces, Excelsior No. 1, and Diamond No. 3.
I plan to try to begin creating these new digital faces in the near future, and would appreciate any help from anyone who has done any work towards creating digital music fonts.
I'm not a font designer but I suggest that there is an emerging Unicode slot mapping standardization for music fonts. You may wish to check into it on the web <http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U1D100.pdf> and supplement that with an inquiry to Coda as to (future) Finale support for such fonts.
Best wishes,
