Well, there is rather a big difference: If I start from scratch it's a lot
of work, many many pages of note entry. If I get the Finale files intact, it
will take me an hour to apply proper settings, check for engraving errors
(the music itself should be correct) and make proper PDFs out of it. If I
get only the raw music data I will have to re-enter all score expressions
and text blocks, but still don't have to reenter the music. All this will
make my price, which matters to the composer. It will be the difference
between paying 200% (100 % to the original engraver, 100% to me) or 125% of
the originally negotiated fee (which was after all generous).
