I understand why the Make Music folk are reintroducing copy protection after an experience yesterday. One of my students at the local Conservatorium was given a Finale 2003 CD by a high school teacher to take home and copy. I wonder how much of this goes on? He doesn't seem to know how to use it, but!
copy protection doesn't matter David. Cracked versions get around it and aren't hard to find.
There is a high school in my area where the music Head is dishing out cracked version of all the major stuff (Sibelius, Cubase, Reason, etc.) He basically sets his student's computers up with everything. I think you can even bring your CPU in to the school for "the treatment"!
I have seriously thought of taking him down. After all, his students are being ranked against mine in the HSC with an illegal advantage.
