Which is no different from what was possible before. There was never any
problem downloading the original .mus file and doing whatever you wanted
with it, provided you had a full version of Finale.

So we didn't really loose much at all. If you want to protect your music
from being changed PDFs are by far the better way to go. You can always
accompany them with a MID file for playback.
