As far as I understand FinaleScript can do much more sophisticated things
than a macro program would ever be able to do. It can batch convert, booklet
print and do things that are closed to plugin than to macros.
A macro program can only do whatever is directly accesible in a program via
menus, mouse actions, buttons, etc. I have done a fair amount of macro
programming, and composed some rather complex macros, but I think (and I
haven't been able to try) that FinaleScript will in fact allow much more
complex things to be achieved.
