Yes. Most viruses and worms today are set up to get addresses from the lists of emails people have received form, and sent to, other people. If your email address is on the message, either as sender, or addressee of a person whose computer is infected, you will probably wind up getting Spam and / or Virii at some point. One way which appears to be quite useful in avoiding worms and virii is to switch to an email client not made by Microsoft, as most of these seem to be written to take advantage of particular design characterisitics of Microsoft's products. As to Spam, I just set filters to move it directly to the trash, and use the delete key on any that escapes.I am in the process of changing my email address to avoid SPAM and viruses. If I unsub using my old email address and resubscribe using my new address, will this make me a target for SPAM and viruses? Can people get my email address who are not members?
